I met Izzy on the soccer field at age 5 (Go Hillside Hawks!) Through the years we would cross paths in school and sports, eventually attending Central High School together with Marcos. When this awesome pair finally got together a few years back – it made perfect sense. Their love for adventure, caring nature and silly humor only further deepen their love for each other and those around them.
I was over the moon when they asked me to capture their special wedding day! Especially because it meant a weekend in the woods, with no service and some of my very favorite people! Marcos and Izzy planned their ceremony on Loon Lake, where Izzy’s parents have a cabin. We all canoed and boated – I chose the pink paddle boat – to an absolutely stunning island in the middle of the lake, where they would say “I Do”. It was beautiful, intimate and filled with love + happiness from all.
After we made our way back to shore, everyone headed to the newly renovated (and gorgeous) Big Bear Lodge on the Gunflint Trail. We toasted to the newlyweds and shared an amazing meal and celebration in honor of Mr & Mrs Stoffel. As I watched the most amazing sunset, I got to capture the two of them giggling on the dock, laughing about the day and soaking it all in. What a perfect day it was.
Cheers to Marcos & Izzy, a fantastic couple with so many years of adventure and happiness ahead! May you have many travels, stories and laughter to share with those you love for years and years to come. Love you crazy kids! xo AJC
