Paityn / 3 Years Old

I met Paityn when she was just a few days old – not only was it one of my very first newborn sessions as JaneCane Photography, but it was also the session that convinced me my heart was in lifestyle sessions. I saw the way Shannon was so relaxed in her home with that brand new baby girl, the gorgeous nursery she had put so much thought + love into and the simplicity of beauty that being together in a house made home could capture.

A little while later, Shannon would adventure to Colorado with her “little bear” and they would create a new life in the mountains together. I have had the joy of watching from afar as they have explored and wandered through the Midwest, keeping in contact with them and always saying “let’s do a session next time you are home!”

So when the email came and we both had the time – it was an easy YES. Shannon drove to Duluth to meet me at Park Point and I got to hang with these awesome ladies as they played and laughed along the shores of Lake Superior. Paityn is now 3 (how does that happen so fast?) and she is fiercely independent. She loves suckers, giraffes and her Momma Bear.
